About Us
An environmental group with a solution to a sustainable world.
The Global Resolution is a socially conscious environmental group focused on the protection and regeneration of natural capital in Papua New Guinea. We strongly align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with our underlying philosophies drawing from these goals for direction and motivation. We achieve this by employing Indigenous landowners nationwide to implement our reforestation, afforestation and blue carbon programs. Our programs provide financially vulnerable Indigenous landowners with a globally responsible option to protect and regenerate the natural capital rather than exploiting the resource.

The value of the save
Papua New Guinea (PNG) hosts Earth’s 3rd largest tropical rainforest, the world’s 16th largest Exclusive Economic Zone, 4% of the World’s mangrove forest, 600 islands and the world’s most bio-diverse coral reefs with more species in one coral reef than the entire Caribbean. PNG has 5% of the world’s biodiversity with less than 1% of the landmass making it a unique place of the utmost importance. The natural capital here is of the highest value on the planet – it is generally accepted by biologists that the PNG forests shelter more undiscovered species than anywhere else on Earth.
PNG also has unlimited opportunity for tourism and eco tourism potential. PNG is located in the ring of fire and is home to 9% of the world’s known bird life (a paradise for birders & ornithologists), 9 million people, over 850 distinct languages (12% of the world’s languages) and as many cultural contrasts which offers a number of unique holiday experiences. PNG is a cultural smorgasbord, with tribes passionate about preserving their culture and willing to share their customs, dance and song with domestic and international visitors. As a result, this creates numerous opportunities for visitations to experience the quintessential tropical paradise. Diving in PNG is second to none with its WWII relics, coral reefs & corresponding marine life and Japanese submarine tunnels cut into the mountain sides of the New Guinea Islands.
The Global Resolution project will directly help 9 million Papua New Guinean people and indirectly help the remaining 7.8 billion people on Earth as well as all other living things.
